These areas don’t have their own facilities of basic needs of life same is the case with education as education comes out to be for the betterment of nation not for the single person so that must be considered and students with the opportunity to move forward government decided in the year 1989 to form independent board that was named as board of intermediate and secondary education dera ghazi khan it was formed with great hard work and basic foundation was laid down by the Lt.General (Rtd) Khalid Maqbool on 12.March.2002 he was Governor of Punjab, at first there was no office that was formed in the year of its establishment but the later on it was formed with the great hard work at the location of Mustafa Chowk, Multan Road Dera Ghazi Khan.

This board has functions that are it has to conduct the examination those are for 5th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th class examination and after that providing students with certificates after that. This board is conducting examination for many areas those are as following and come under its jurisdiction Dera Ghazi Khan, Muzaffargarh, Layah and Rajanpur. Punjab education commission that is PEC it is working with the board and it was formed in the year 2005 that was with the main purpose to conduct examination and to manage them for 5th and 8th class as these examination are not compulsory but students appear in them for practice.

There are many students who appear in the board examination as regular and other as private students. These examination those are for intermediate those are conducted in the month of April and May and many students appear in these examination and then wait for results as the result will be declared very soon that is in the month of august and September and students will be excited as the result will be declared on the official website of the board and we will also display it.
