Dera Ghazi khan is not a very well developed area there is need of education to be given to students as in past people didn’t pay attention to the education and all the time the students who wanted to study they have to go outside the city but then the trend changed and government realized that there must be independent educational board and that was formed in the year 1989 that was just due to the hard work of education minister of Punjab that he strived and worked hard for education of students.

Main body of the board that was formed and named as board of intermediate and secondary education DG khan it was laid down by Lt. General (Rtd) Khalid Maqbool on 12 March 2002 he was Governor of Punjab, then the main question comes where to form its office then it was formed at Mustafa Chowk, Multan Road Dera Ghazi Khan. This board has many responsibilities that it has to conduct examination for 5th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th class examination there are many areas those come under the board and its jurisdiction consist of following areas districts DG Khan, Muzaffargarh, Layah and Rajanpur. Punjab education commission that is PEC that was formed in the year 2005 with the main purpose of conducting and managing examination of 5th and 8th class and after that providing certificates to students.

There are many government and private schools and colleges those are affiliated with the board and running under the rules and regulations. This board conducts examination for 9th class that is in the month of March and April and many students appear in those examination and they then wait for results that will be announced soon they get so excited that will be declared on the official website of the board and we will also display it on our website.

Before examination registration occurs that is for examination of students and then after that students are provided with roll number slips and date sheets that is by what they can appear in examination.
